Modifier keys startup condition
Sometimes timing just isn't enough for handling all situations. For these occasions, Startupizer provides modifier keys startup conditions. You can setup up to four modifier keys and specify whether an item should be started if the assigned key being pressed or not. This gives you fine granularity over the startup process.
You can have up to four modifier key conditions, each associated with particular modifier key - control, option, shift and command. You can't use the same modifier key in two modifier key conditions, it would make no sense - Startupizer will take care of that for you by disabling entries for already used keys from possible choices. For each modifier key you have two options:
-
Start items if...
All items using this condition will only start if the assigned key is pressed. This is useful for cases where you normally don't want certain items started - if you don't do anything during startup, the items will not start, and when you want them started, press the key.
-
Prevent starting if...
All items using this condition will only start if the assigned key is NOT pressed. This is useful for cases where you normally want certain items started - if you don't do anything during startup, the items will start, and when you don't want them started, press the key.
